Where are you located?
We’re located in Lancaster, PA and serve a wide area in Central PA area and beyond! We accept orders from all across the US. You can us at 1953 Fruitville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
How do I submit my camera for repair?
Submitting your gear for repair is easy! Simply fill out the online form for a free digital or film estimate. Enter the gear make and model, fill in the box that best describes your gears symptoms, and click “next” to submit for your free estimate. A tech will follow up with you within 24 business hours with an estimate. From there, they can provide you with instructions on how to proceed. If you’re not local and need to ship your gear in, you can follow our step by step shipping instructions here. A bench fee of $35 is required for all orders and will be applied to the total repair cost.
How long is the warranty on my camera repair?
Perfect Image offers repair warranties for a period of 6 months from date of completion. Your warranty does not cover impact damage, water damage, sand damage, or other abuse. The warranty must be for the original repair performed. You can see our full policy here.
What are your store hours?
We’re open Monday through Friday 9AM to 6PM and Saturday’s 9AM to 3PM. We are closed for all major holidays including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Check our Google listing for the most up to date hours. We value our team and want to ensure their safety so if the weather turns bad, we do close the shop. We announce all unusual closings with a banner at the top of every webpage on our site.
What are your turnaround times?
We’re a small, independently owned camera shop with a small, amazing team. We work on all orders in the order we receive them. Since we receive orders in store, online, and through the mail, our queue can be quite long sometimes. That said, we work hard to wrap up your order in a timely fashion. Here’s some of our turnaround times:
Sensor cleaning, calibration, lens cleaning, firmware updates, film camera cleaning, or light seals: 1-2 business days
Repair estimates: 3 business days
Prints up to 12×18 inches: Next business day by 5PM
Prints larger than 12×18 inches: 3 business days
Prints on metallic, deep matte, or fine art paper: 3 business days
Photo gifts: 5 business days
Canvas gallery wraps: 10 business days
Film (C-41): 1-2 business days
BW or E-6 Film: 2-4 weeks
Video/Audio transfers: 10 business days
Scanning orders: Starting at 5 business days (larger orders will have a longer turnaround time)
Art reproduction: 10 business days
Custom framing: 10 business days
NOTE: Turnaround times are estimates only. We strive to hit due dates, but sometimes we miss them. We’re human. Team members get sick. We go on vacation. Life happens. But we try our very best to turn orders around as quickly as possible.
How do I get a repair estimate?
What forms of payment do you accept?
You can pay by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express), check, or cash. Please note that we require the check to clear in order to ship orders out. There are no such delays with credit cards or cash.
Do you repair digital cameras?
We sure do! We’ve been repairing cameras, lenses, and flashes for over 45 years. And often if we can’t repair something, we know who can. Before you stop by or ship your gear to us, fill out our free online repair estimate form here so we can better assist you.
Do you ship?
We ship all print orders through USPS Priority Mail. All gear is shipped through UPS Ground shipping. Video and scanning orders are shipping either USPS Priority Mail or UPS Ground shipping depending on their weight. You’ll receive a tracking number once your order ships so you can keep an eye on it.
How will you contact me?
We keep you posted throughout your order through text and email updates. If you don’t have either of those, we’d be happy to call with any questions or when your order is complete.
