Intro to Digital Photography: Part 3 – Class Description
Take your photography skills to new heights with this final class in our digital photography series! In Part 3, you’ll refine your technical abilities and develop a creative eye to truly tell stories with your images. Led by Taylor, this session focuses on advanced settings, creative techniques, and confidently shooting in manual mode. Get ready to unlock your full potential as a photographer!
What you will learn:
- Mastering Manual Mode: Take full creative control by balancing aperture, shutter speed, and ISO for any situation.
- Advanced Camera Settings: Unlock the potential of your camera with tools like focusing modes, metering modes, and white balance.
- Lens Techniques: Explore how different lenses, from wide-angle to telephoto, can transform your perspective.
- File Formats: Navigate the differences between JPG and RAW formats and decide which is best for you.
- Composition: Jump into better composition with these 5 tips.
- Understanding Light: Dive deeper into working with natural light.
- Introduction to Flash: Discover how to use an external flash on camera to enhance your photos.
This class is perfect for those who have completed Parts 1 and 2 or have intermediate photography skills. With this final class in our three part Intro to Digital Photo series, you will have the tools you need to create stunning, professional-quality photos and tell your story through your lens. Let’s bring your vision to life!

Skill level – Intermediate (Suggest taking Intro to Digital Photography Part 1 & 2 first, but not required)
Equipment Needed – Your camera (DSLR or mirrorless ILC camera)

We’re located in the Foxshire Plaza on Fruitville Pike where there is ample parking in the shopping plaza’s parking lot right in front of the store!
Age Restriction
By limiting our classes to adults, we can tailor our content and teaching methods to better meet the needs and expectations of this demographic. We believe that this policy enhances the quality of our educational offerings and the overall experience of our adult learners. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
Exceptions: Youth age 16 or 17 may attend with an accompanying adult. Both participants would need to secure a seat.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Our classes are intentionally small and community-focused. Because instructors are paid per student and classes often fill, late cancellations can affect both our instructors and other students hoping to attend. Thanks for helping keep our classes running smoothly!
7 or more days before the class – Cancel for a full refund or receive full class credit toward a future session of the same class.
2-6 days before the class – No refunds – you’ll receive full class credit to use toward a future date of the same class.
Less than 48 hours before the class – No refunds – we’re unable to offer rescheduling, but you may:
- Transfer your spot to a friend for this date, or
- Receive a one-time 50% class credit (per customer, per year) as a courtesy
Minimum enrollment – Classes require a minimum of 3 participants. If a class is canceled due to low enrollment, you’ll be notified and offered a full refund or full class credit.
If Perfect Image cancels a class for any reason – You may choose a full refund or transfer to a comparable upcoming class.
